The client is looking for a Mechanical Designer to develop high-quality mechanical design solutions for our clients. You will have design accountability for the development of mechanical systems for industrial and commercial facility renovation projects. You will be the critical resource that consolidates information from the project manager and all other design disciplines to create a comprehensive set of construction documents.

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • 3+ years of mechanical design for commercial and industrial renovation including:

    • Mechanical equipment sizing and layout

    • Duct sizing and routing

    • Pipe sizing and routing

  • 3+ years of Revit design experience

  • 3+ years of working with Trane Trace

  • 2+ years of engineering site work (as-builts, design verification, facility audits, etc.)

  • Design-Build project experience preferred

  • Cleanroom, data center, "mission-critical" facility design experience preferred

  • Excellent time management and communication skills

  • Ability to work on more than one project at a time

  • 3-D scanning, Drone Operations and Commissioning experience is a plus

PRODUCTIVITY:

  • Develop mechanical design solutions for commercial and industrial renovation projects (conceptual design, equipment selection, construction drawings, specifications, energy modeling, etc.)

  • Coordinate mechanical design with the architect and other disciplines to ensure constructibility

  • Attend kickoff, coordination, and site meetings for all projects

  • Communicate with colleagues, external consultants, and vendors to accomplish design assignments

  • Communicate with permitting entities and utility companies to ensure design compliance

  • Will require some travel, up to 25%
