Description

Clint seeks an experienced Architect with significant project architect experience to join its Workplace practice located in the Washington, DC office. This position will support multiple commercial office, residential, and mixed-use projects with an initial focus on construction administration. The ideal candidate will be a flexible, team-oriented individual with strong time management skills, a willingness to learn, and will have the desire to participate in all phases of design from early concepts though construction.

Responsibilities

  • Understands all phases of design and construction

  • Manages and mentors staff for design quality, technical detailing, and presentations

  • Represents the project or practice as a key contact for client interaction

  • Negotiates critical and controversial issues with appropriate parties

  • Collaborates with other lead professionals to ensure design and documentation are in accordance with project expectations

  • Serves as a key contributor during client meetings and presentations

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related design field

  • 7+ years of related experience

  • Ability to produce and direct work

  • Strong technical background

  • Revit proficient throughout conceptual, schematic design, and construction phases

  • Solid working knowledge of building codes

  • Ability to prioritize and concurrently service multiple projects

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Effective problem solving and interpersonal skills and ability to interface with all clients and employees

  • Interacts well with other disciplines and clients in a manner that builds productive relationships-work as a team

  • Experience with contract negotiations and project financial planning and scheduling

  • LEED accreditation preferred

  • Professional registration preferred
