The Senior Project Manager reports to the Director of Design and is the main point of contact for the clients and consultants. The primary role of the Senior Project Manager is Team Leader, project designer and project manager. They are responsible for maintaining FDG design standards and reinforcing the company culture and brand.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage project team, both internal (up to five designers) and external, to ensure proper coordination with all consultants and team members
• Create and maintain project staffing plan to ensure efficient utilization of company personnel
• Lead meetings with the design team, client, or consultants at appropriate intervals
• Direct the design for the projects including generating concept images and other relevant imagery
• Lead and/or collaborate with the Project Manager to space plan and design the interior architectural envelope
• Develop detailed construction documents and coordinate with appropriate staff to ensure design intent, quality, and compliance with applicable building codes and accessibility requirements
• Participate in construction administration phase with required meetings, site observations, and review and process RFIs/submittals
• Lead the completion of FF&E design, specifications, and documentation based on project program, budget, installation and company standards
• Participate in monthly project financial reviews with accountability to company the financial status of projects
• Manage project financials including budgets, fees, and invoicing
• Develop and maintain excellent professional relationships with clients and consultants
• Participate in furthering the Design Department’s knowledge base through training and sharing of resources
• Mentor junior designers
• Take an active role in marketing and business development by attending industry conferences and networking events as well as consistent contact and follow through with potential client leads
• Assist the Director of Design in preparation and review of proposals, contracts, and new project interviews
• Support Executive Team in company policy and procedural decisions related to the goals of the company
Qualifications
• Professional Licensure: Professional Licensure (preferred)
• Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree or minimum degree requirements needed for licensure
• Software (current versions): Revit (basic skills), AutoCAD (proficiency preferred), Microsoft Office Suite (proficiency), Adobe Creative Suite (proficiency preferred), Plan Grid (basic skills) and Bluebeam (proficiency preferred)
Experience: 10+ years applicable experience is preferred, prior experience in Multifamily or Senior Living design is required
Transportation: Must possess a vehicle, have the ability to drive, and travel via airplane •
