Senior Architect

Client seeks a Project Manager with a thorough understanding of the Hospitality industry to join the senior leadership of the Dallas Hospitality team.  The ideal candidate has effective problem solving and interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with all clients, managers, and employees. This position will also be responsible for putting together proposals and RFP responses for large-scale, complex hospitality / mixed-use projects.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, coordinates and manages the project for large scale retail, hotel & mixed use projects.

  • Represents the project or practice as the primary contact for client interaction

  • Negotiates critical and controversial issues with appropriate parties

  • Collaborates with other lead professionals to ensure design and documentation are in accordance with project expectations

  • Serves as the main contributor during client meetings and presentations

  • Oversees financial management, performance and reporting of all assigned projects

  • Participates in Business Development

  • Collaborates with other lead professionals regarding operational issues including resource assignment and professional development

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related design field

  • 12+ years of architecture experience in Hospitality field

  • Experience with US Domestic and international projects is preferred 

  • Professional registration

  • Extensive experience with proposal and contract writing

  • Ability to lead multiple teams on varying project types and sizes

  • Experience with contract negotiations and project financial planning and scheduling

  • Ability to prioritize and concurrently service multiple projects effectively

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Effective problem solving and interpersonal skills and ability to interface with all clients, managers, and employees

  • Interacts well with other disciplines and clients in a manner that builds productive relationships

  • Travel required

  • Experience with AutoCAD and Revit

  • LEED accreditation preferred 

  • Experience with Deltek Vision or similar accounting software is preferred

  • Submit portfolio with application (List of projects / imagery of completed work)
